Smothers Brothers-Songs & Comedy Vol. 2 LP(Mercury SR60777)

Enjoy the timeless musical satire and sibling banter of The Smothers Brothers (Tom and Dick Smothers) with this original 1963 stereo vinyl pressing of The Two Sides of the Smothers Brothers (Mercury Records, SR-60777 / Stereo).

Recorded live in front of an enthusiastic audience at The Ice House in Pasadena, California, this album captures the brothers at the height of their early 1960s folk-comedy fame. Balancing sharp comedic timing, deadpan folk parodies, and surprisingly tight vocal/instrumental arrangements (Tom on acoustic guitar and Dick on double bass), this album features iconic routines such as “Laredo?”, “Crying”, and their famous take on “Bolero”.
