Kitty Wells Sings Songs Made Famous by Jim Reeves Vinyl LP DL 4741

Step into one of the most beloved tribute albums of the 1960s with Kitty Wells – Sings Songs Made Famous by Jim Reeves, released in 1966 on Decca Records (Catalog No. DL 4741 Mono / DL 74741 Stereo). Following the tragic loss of country crooner Jim Reeves in 1964, Country Music Hall of Famer Kitty Wells paid homage to her friend and contemporary by interpreting 12 of his biggest signature hits.

Produced by pioneering Decca producer Owen Bradley and featuring vocal accompaniment by The Jordanaires, the album pairs weeping pedal steel and lush Nashville arrangements with Wells’ authentic, emotionally charged vocal delivery.
