High Country Dreams Vinyl LP Warner Bros Raccoon BS 2608

Step into the vibrant 1970s West Coast bluegrass revival with High Country – Dreams, released in 1972 on Warner Bros. Records / Raccoon (Catalog No. BS 2608). Formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1968 by mandolin master Butch Waller, High Country became famous for preserving authentic, hard-driving Bill Monroe-style traditional bluegrass while appealing to the era’s expanding folk-rock audience.

Released on The Youngbloods’ boutique Raccoon imprint through Warner Bros., Dreams pairs classic bluegrass standards penned by Bill Monroe, Del McCoury, and Merle Haggard with traditional fiddle tunes and soaring gospel numbers.
