Heavy Metal Magazine Dec 1981 Debbie Harry & H.R. Giger

Description

Heavy Metal is an American fantasy comic book magazine, known primarily for its mix of dark fantasy, science fiction and erotica. It originated in the mid-1970s, when editor Leonard Mogel was in Paris to start the French edition of the humor magazine National Lampoon. There he discovered the French science fiction and fantasy magazine Métal Hurlant, which had debuted in December 1974; the French title literally translates as “Howling Metal.” Mogel then decided to create a North American version of the magazine.

Add a classic piece of sci-fi, fantasy, and pop culture history to your collection with this vintage issue of Heavy Metal. Officially billed as “The adult illustrated fantasy magazine,” this specific edition is a must-have for collectors due to its iconic collaborative cover story.
