Overview
At DEP Auction Group, we strive to provide accurate descriptions and transparent information for all items listed in our auctions. Please read this policy carefully before placing a bid, as all auction sales are generally considered final.
General Policy
All items sold through DEP Auction Group are sold “as-is, where-is” unless otherwise specified in the item listing. By placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have reviewed all available information, photos, and descriptions provided for the item.
Eligible Refunds
Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
Item Significantly Not as Described – If an item materially differs from its listing description in a way that affects its value or functionality, you may be eligible for a refund. Minor variations, wear consistent with age, or cosmetic imperfections visible in photos do not qualify.
Item Not Received – If your purchased item is not delivered and tracking confirms non-delivery, we will work with you to resolve the issue through refund or replacement.
Damaged During Shipping – If an item arrives damaged due to shipping and DEP Auction Group handled the shipping arrangements, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind or buyer’s remorse
- Items accurately described in the listing
- Items inspected and approved during preview
- Failure to pick up items within the designated timeframe
- Costs associated with shipping, handling, or buyer’s premium
- Vehicles, heavy equipment, or real estate sold at auction
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us – Email us at depauctiongroup@gmail.com or call 208-549-9010 within 7 days of receiving your item
- Provide Documentation – Include your invoice number, photos of the item, and a detailed explanation of the issue
- Await Review – Our team will review your request within 5 business days
- Resolution – If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days
Returns Process
Returns are accepted only when a refund has been pre-approved by DEP Auction Group.
- Items must be returned in the same condition as received
- Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error
- Items must be returned within 14 days of refund approval
- Original packaging should be used when possible
Buyer’s Premium
The buyer’s premium is non-refundable in all circumstances, except in cases where DEP Auction Group cancels a sale due to an error on our part.
Inspection and Preview
We strongly encourage all bidders to attend preview days and inspect items in person before bidding. Items purchased after physical inspection are not eligible for refunds based on condition.
Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our resolution, you may request a secondary review by contacting our management team. All decisions made after secondary review are final.
